Alaya-EVOKE: How to Review Memory in Long Video
External world state is a research approach, not an unlimited-duration delivery promise. Check revisits, persistent events and sound across segments.
Revision note:2026-09-30T15:36:32Z | Reconstructed and revised; Checked external state retrieval; removed unlimited stability and delivery-time implications and added revisit checks. Publication dates must follow actual publishing records; source dates are not article publication dates.

Where the research keeps memory
The Alaya-EVOKE paper stores scene geometry in an external camera-indexed state bank and retrieves view-relevant information. It also studies long-horizon supervision and few-step generation. Open-ended evolution does not mean infinite, drift-free output on arbitrary hardware. VQOS did not reproduce it or use reported hardware timings as client schedules.
Define what must persist
List layout, wardrobe, prop positions and completed events. Specify which states may change and which require a narrative cause. A long sequence with a similar style does not by itself demonstrate memory.
Test revisits and events
Leave an area and return to compare layout. After a door opens or an object moves, inspect whether the new state persists. Distinguish intended lighting changes from drift. Retain uncut outputs so removing a defective interval does not become a misleading stability claim.
Separate model memory from production records
External model state is not a client approval register. Keep approved shots, inputs, revision reasons and segment relationships. Check sound and pacing across boundaries. If a state fails, identify the rebuild interval and neighboring segments needing review.
Read VQOS services and specify length, protected states and fallback handling in your brief. This research analysis does not establish available commercial integration.
